Vivian Lavon Wilkenson, age 87, of  Hammond, entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

Survived by daughters: Susan Koelbl and

Anita (David) Meyer;

4 grandchildren: Christopher (Kim) Koelbl;

Ryan (Stephanie) Koelbl, Sean (Jill) Koelbl; Kevin Koelbl;

5 great grandchildren;

2 sisters: Jeanette (late, William) Gard,

Carrie (Robert) Fritz;

several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Wilkenson; parents, Marvin and Vivian Fairse;

Sister, Vera (Lawrence) Depew.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Don Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation at Bocken Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18 ^th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Vivian was born on January 2, 1927 in Freelandville, IN and moved to Hammond 62 years ago. She has been a longtime faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Highland. Vivian was a wonderful Christian woman who leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion for her family and service to the Lord. Memorials may be made in her memory to The Pacific Garden Mission, 1458 S. Canal St., Chicago, IL 60607-9825.
