Walter "Wally" Ray Frye

Walter Ray Frye, age 67, of Chesterton, formerly of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Toni Lee Frye;
4 Children: Walter Frye, Jr.
late, Eric (Carrie) Frye;
Matthew Frye and Amanda Frye Norton;
13 Grandchildren;
1 great granddaughter;
Brother, John (Carrie) Frye;
Sister, Brenda Frye;
Numerous nieces, nephews and friends;
Loving companion and best friend, (dog) "Cooper".
Preceded in death by his son, Eric;
Parents, Joseph and Minnie Frye;
2 brothers, Michael and Ted Frye;
2 sisters, Deborah and Maryjo.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor John Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, February 25th at Bocken Funeral Home

Wally was born and raised in Jacksonville, IL and has been a resident of the Calumet Area for over 55 years. He was a member of Labor Union Local #41 for over 33 years; and attended Hessville Assembly of God Church. He was proud of his time of service in the U.S. Navy.
