Wayne Allen Bocken

Beloved Father, Brother, and Uncle, Wayne Allen Bocken, age 63, was called to our Lord on April 7, 2015. Wayne had an incredible singing voice that he used to praise his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Like his brothers, he loved sports, especially golf and basketball. A Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Wayne served in Okinawa, Japan and Honolulu, Hawaii. After serving his country, he had a career in the restaurant industry as a general manager and human resources professional. He was born March 15, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cecelia and brothers, Ronald and Kenneth Bocken. He is survived by his sons, Adam and Jay; grandchildren, Derek and Jamison; sister, Kathleen Navarro; sisters-in-law, Patti Bocken, Carol Bocken; and Dorothy Bocken and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave, Hammond (Hessville) with inurnment immediately following at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Donations may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America.
