Wayne "Smokey" Somogyi, age 65, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Alberta N.  (nee, Weaver)Somogyi;
sister, Linda (Terry) Murphy;
sister-in-law, Karen (Joseph) Smitka;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Mildred Somogyi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. Wayne will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville following the ceremony.
Smokey was born on September 26, 1947 in Chicago and  has lived the past 19 years in the Calumet Area. He was a tool and die maker and retired from Fem Tool & Die Co. Smokey enjoyed square dancing. His favorite pastime was being with his family, he was a loving husband, devoted brother and a dear friend to many.
