William "Bill" Joseph Convery, age 59, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 2, 2016.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Martha M. (nee, Ziara) Convery; 3 siblings: Patricia (Michael) Baum, Robert (Kristine) Convery, Suzanne Convery;  nieces and nephews: Lauren (Matt) Calhoun, Matthew Baum, Melissa Baum, Rachel Convery and Brandi Convery; one great niece, Mackenzie and furry companion "Snowball".  Preceded in death by his wife Vicki Convery; father, William Patrick Convery.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, May 5th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bill was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and a 1975 graduate of Morton High School. He worked as an independent cable lineman for 30 years. Currently Bill was the custodian at Homeplate Pub. He enjoyed building things and "tinkering" in the garage. Bill was a wonderful care giver to his mom, he took excellent care of home and her garden.  Bill was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed.
