William Anthony Cummins, age 58 of Hammond, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years; Terry L. Cummins (Nee Plant).
Two Sons Joshua Nicholas and Joseph Michael Cummins.
Three Sisters Judith Townley, Rita (Edward) Ruble and Shannon Reed.
Two Sisters in law Sandra (late John) Ward and Debra Plant. Brother in law George Dietz. Many Nieces and Nephews
Preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Ruby Cummins. Daughter Sarah Cummins and son Charles Cummins.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Chaplin John Balczo officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, June 15th at the funeral home from 4 until 8 PM.
Tony was born in Hammond on January 16, 1952 and after living in several different regions has made his home in Hammond for the past 25 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the submarine division during the Vietnam War. Tony was a 24 year employee of HB Fuller. He was a faithful member and past Commander in 1997 of American Legion Post 168. Tony was a wonderful husband, father, and dear friend. He was a fan of golf as well as an avid golfer himself.
