William T. Harrigan, age 81, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Russell) Harrigan; daughter, Helen "Marie" (Bill Pluskis) Harrigan; grandchildren: Kevin, John and Rachel Sieracke; sister, Patricia Skilnik; brother, John (Georgene) Harrigan; sister-in-law, Alva Arnett; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Sieracke; parents, William J. and Helen Harrigan.

Bill was part owner of Calumet Engraving Co., which later became Metal Arts Studio. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and honored member of the Hammond Optimist Club of which he served as President and Lt. Governor and former member of the Hammond Jay Cees.

Bill was a loving husband and father, and a devoted grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed.

In accordance with his wishes a memorial service will be held at a later date.
