William Bruce Heaps, age 72, of Hessville passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2013.
He is survived by his five children: Debra (Robert) Rossi,
Jeffrey Heaps,
Edward Girman,
Steve Girman and Sue (Bob) Hirchak;
2 granddaughters: Megan and Ashlie Rossi;
one sister, Arlene (William) Vanderwoude;
Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Irene Heaps.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville).  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. Private Cremation to follow the services.
Bill was born on June 23, 1941 in Chicago, IL and has lived in the Hessville section of Hammond for the past
15 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Hessville Community Service Post #232. Bill was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed.
