William "Bill" Lutzenberger

William Lutzenberger age 55 of Hammond, passed away in his home on Friday, March 11, 2016. Bill is survived by his mother: Patricia Strange; two sisters, Linda (Jim) Strange and Lecia Troxell of Mesa, AR.,nieces and nephew: Robert Lane, Kyle and Rachel Troxell; longtime companion: Tamara Deering; children: Angela (John Miles) Deering, Nick (Natalie Gordon) Deering and Megan (Michael Townsell) Deering; grandchildren: Nicholas, Anthony, Emilie, Mykielina and Charley; aunt Julie Sells and uncle Dennis McLean. Preceded in death by his step father Bill Strange and grandparents, John and Louise McLean.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at  7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Jason DeVries officiating.  Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation at Bocken Funeral Home on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 12 p.m. -4 p.m. and 5 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Bill was born on November 17, 1960 in Hammond. He was a graduate of Morton High School where he was a wrestler and swimmer. Bill spent most of his Years as a roll grinder for metal manufacturing companies before becoming his own boss at AAA Roll Grinding.

Bill was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed time playing with his grandchildren as well as fishing and cheering on the Bears and Cubs. He was a well-known member of the community with an open door policy and welcomed all. Bill coached in the Hessville Little league for a number of years. He was a big kind kid at heart and was always playing pranks and making jokes. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
