William "Bill" Patrick Convery, age 79, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 3, 2014.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Martha M. (nee, Ziara) Convery;

4 children: William J. Convery,

Patricia (Michael) Baum

Robert (Kristine) Convery,

Suzanne Convery;

5 grandchildren: Lauren (Matt) Calhoun, Matthew Baum, Melissa Baum, Rachel Convery, Brandi Convery;

one great grandchild, Mackenzie;

2 sisters: Albertine and Betty;

Many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara Convery; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Friday, December 5th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bill was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area. He and his wife Martha were the former owners and operators of Flick's Tap in Hessville for over 23 years. Bill was a welder by trade and a member of Local #150. He loved to fish and enjoyed "tinkering" in the garage and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
