William "Bill" Robinson, age 48, of Griffith, entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Char Robinson, (nee, Wise);
daughter, Nicole Robinson;
parents, Ronald and Mary Robinson;
3 sisters, Jo Boswell, Genece (Jerry) Gifford and Ann Robinson;
many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Boswell.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Scott Hobbs       officiating.  Private cremation will follow.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, February 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home.
Bill was born on May 16, 1963 in Hammond and attended Lake Central High School. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Griffith. Bill was a true outdoors man in that he loved football, hunting and fishing. He worked for many years at Luke's Car Wash in Hammond and was affectionately known as "Sweet William". He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
