 Arturo L. Sanchez, age 49, of Hammond, was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023.
He is survived by his six siblings: Odessa (George) Garcia, Armando (Lupe) Sanchez Jr., Pete (Juanita) Sanchez, Sandra (Jaime) Jimenez, Thelma Lopez, Nora (Johnny) Best; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.                                                                                                                                                  Preceded in death by his parents, Armando Davila (Maria Olga) Sanchez (nee Lopez);  one brother, Jose Orlando “Landy” Sanchez.

  Art was born on April 21, 1973 in Hammond, the youngest of eight children. He was a graduate of Gavit High School. He worked at various jobs, but most recently his favorite was as security at Growlers on Highway Avenue in Highland where he made many friends. Artie would give you the shirt off his back he was that generous and always willing to help. He enjoyed being the favorite uncle and great uncle and baby brother who was a gentle giant. Art enjoyed watching movies, music and all the Chicago sport teams but followed his mother’s footsteps as a Cub’s fan.

 Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25,2023 at Cline Avenue Fellowship Church 8600 Cline Avenue, Highland, IN 46322 from 2:00 p.m. until 6::00 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Arts life will take place at 6:00 p.m. with Pastors Armando Sanchez Jr., Pete Sanchez and Joe Best officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed at www.clineave.org under the watch live tab. Private cremation will follow.
