Jaime Calzada,  age 29,  of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 .

He is survived by his father, Jose Antonio Calzada-Galvan; mother, Maria Mendieta; six siblings: Yanet, Sara, Edgar, Natalie, Yanely and Daniela Calzada; grandparents: Sara Galvan- Mercado and Rogelio Calzada- Mendoza; one nephew, Leonel C. Medrano.

Preceded by his grandparents: Luis Mendieta-Alvarez and Maria Luz Tirado-Trejo .

Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation at Bocken Funeral 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) IN on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 3:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. Father Gibson will offer prayers at 4:00 p.m. In order to maintain a safer gathering during the Covid-19 pandemic no more than 50 people may attend, and face masks are required. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 DIRECTLY at St. Casimir Catholic Church 4340 Johnson Avenue, Hammond, IN 46327 at 10:00 a.m. with father Stephen Gibson, celebrant. Once again face masks and social distancing guidelines must be followed. Private cremation will follow.

Jaime was born in Los Angeles, CA where he spent some of his life. He was a 2010 graduate of Hammond High School. He was a manager of a McDonalds restaurant on Torrence Ave. in Lansing, IL. He enjoyed playing video games.  Jaime was a wonderful son. a loving, kind, giving and sweet brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
