A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. officiated by Pastor David Stovall. Burial will take place Friday May 27, 2022 in Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector, Arkansas.

Janis has been a resident of Hammond, Indiana since 2016 and she was a native of Rector, Arkansas.  Janis was a faithful member of The Rock Church and an active member of the prayer team.  She was a part of the United Pentecostal Church since her conversion in 1963.  In her free time Janis loved to sew, read books, enjoyed canning just about every kind of food you can think of.  Janis loved to travel to see family, attend church conferences, and traveled many times to Africa on missions trips. She wrote volumes in her many prayer journals.  She loved Jesus more than anything, she loved His church and His people.  She spent hours a day in prayer drawing closer to Him, interceding for her children and their families, and praying for the needs of others.  She was a true “Prayer Warrior.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Global Missions at UPC for church building in Africa would be appreciated.
