Jean was born and raised in East Chicago and had been a resident of the Hessville section of Hammond since 1960. She tragically lost her twin brother at the age of 4 and was orphaned at the age of 12, which formed her into the strong women that she became. She was a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Jean retired from Indiana Bell after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and American Legion Post #369 Ladies Auxiliary. Jean loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed gardening. Jean was an excellent homemaker and she loved baking polish desserts for her family. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made to a charity that is beneficial to children.
