Maria Caudillo  Saucedo, age, 96 of Hammond went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 28, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her children: Rosemary (George Blue Eagle) George, Richard (friend Debbie) Caudillo, Rachel (Rudy) Gutierrez, Lupe (Armando) Sanchez, Robert Caudillo, Eddie (friend Terri) Caudillo and Sylvia (Samuel) Settle along with 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren,  many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband of  44 years, Guadalupe Caudillo; Son, Ramiro Caudillo; sister, Herminia Caudillo, brother, Antonio Flores.

Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1st,  at 10:00 a.m.  at Bocken Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Scott Wells. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

Maria was born in Saltillo, Coahuilia, Mexico. She loved being a  homemaker, she was an excellent cook, and enjoyed going to yard sales because she was a true bargain hunter. Maria was a devoted wife and mother of 8, who taught all her children the basic skills of life preparing them for their futures. This was also carried down to the grandchildren. She was a woman of deep faith and attended the Gate Church.
