Michael Thomas Spisak, age 31, of Hammond suddenly passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
He is survived by his parents: Thomas Spisak and Heidi Liesenfelt; brothers: Andrew (Jamie) Liesenfelt, Christopher (Raylene) Spisak and Daniel Spisak; Marternal grandmother, Elizabeth Liesenfelt; paternal grandmother, Monica Spisak; aunts and uncles: Jim (Holly) Liesenfelt, Barbara (Paul) Martin, Vicki (Jeff) Allen, Steven F. Spisak, Elsa (Rick) Spisak and David (Renee) Spisak, numerous cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald J. Spisak and maternal grandfather, John Liesenfelt.
Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323 with a service officiated by Rev. Charles Mosley at 6 p.m. Private cremation will follow.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Hammond, he graduated from Morton High School in the class of 2009. He then joined the United States Marine Corps where he trained for Aircraft Rescue and was a Firefighting Specialist. He most recently worked as a supervisor at KRC Logistics for the past 5 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to music; Guns and Roses specifically. Mike was a huge Green Bay Packers fan; he was a loyal friend to many and will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
