Nora M. Winscher of Hammond, Indiana died very peacefully and loved on June 16th, 2021 with Sara, Gretchen, and Bernie by her side. Nora was born December 19th, 1924 in Antigo, Wisconsin, a daughter of late Stanley and Clara (Draeger) Shebuski. She married Alvin Wagner in 1946 and they later moved to Hammond, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 7132 Arizona Ave. Hammond IN 46323 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 12:00 p.m. with Father Charles Mosley Celebrant. Nora is survived by her daughter, Gretchen, Bernie Rakowski (her buddy), and sons and daughter-in-law’s; Jim and Nancy Wagner of Snohomish, WA and Karl and Kris Winscher of LaPorte, IN. Cherished grandchildren; Ian (Jen) Wagner of Granite Falls WA, Whitney Wagner of Brooklyn, NY, Sara Winscher of Hammond, IN, and  Zachary Winscher of La Porte, IN. Four great grandsons; Andrew, Clint, Luke and Cade. Siblings; Jack Shebuski of Wausau, WI, Dan (Gene) Shebuski of Prior Lake, MN, Audrey (Jack) Ellison of Milwaukee, WI. Sister-in-laws; Marlene Shebuski of Antigo, WI, Lenore Shebuski of Lansing, MI, Jeanne Shebuski of Hubertus, WI. Also, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin Wagner, daughter-in-law Becky Wagner, three sisters; Mae (Minch) Langenbach, Helen Shebuski, and Karen Renier. Four brothers; Bill, Don, Bob, and Rev. Charles Shebuski. Nora worked for the Weinbrenner Shoe Factory during World War II before marrying Al. Later in life, she was the baker and cashier at Morton Senior High School cafeteria for 30 years before retiring in 1996. She enjoyed Chicago sports; Bears, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, ND football and the Green Bay Packers. She loved shopping, going out to eat, and stopping for a hot fudge sundae. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking, and sharing her homemade goodies with family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Shwaiki and Dr. Slotar for their devoted care to Nora, her home health team; Juanita, Maggie and Jeanette, and the staff of 3T that cared for her. Nora will be buried at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo, WI next to her late, beloved husband, Al. In lieu of flowers, please bake a cake or cookies and share them in Nora's memory.
