Pamela S. Slaven, age 68, of Hammond entered eternal life on Monday, April 10, 2023.

She is survived by two children: daughter and best friend, Sherry Klut and son, Steve (Natalie) Slaven; nine grandchildren: Jason “Pookie” Higgason, Joshua “Boo-Boo” Higgason, Brittany (Tierra) Butler, Niki Klut, Savannah Slaven, Sierra Slaven, Tristen Slaven, Chase Slaven and Colton Slaven; five great grandchildren: Joshua Jr., Nemo, Princess Yuli, Jay, Braylon and Kaiden; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and special friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving of husband of 50 years, Jerry G. Slaven on October 20, 2022; her parents, Dean (Barbara) Dickenson.

Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home 7042 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN 46323.

Pam has been a lifetime resident of Hammond. She graduated from Morton High School. Pam waitressed for many years in many local restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, great grand kids, and friends.  In lieu flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
