Bob was born and raised on a farm in Bridgewater South Dakota. He moved to Hammond in 1959 and soon after married the love of his life Judy. Bob was retired from the Hammond Fire Department after 20 years of service as a fire fighter. He and Judy were former parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena and longtime Parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was a jack of all trades for all his neighbors and never met a stranger. Bob enjoyed gardening but his great passion was going back home to South Dakota and hunting pheasants with his family. He looked forward to family gatherings and was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend… and Bob would like to tell you all “If I don’t see you through the week I’ll see you through the window”
