Ryan Travis Tharp, age 31, of Portage, entered into eternal rest suddenly on Thursday, April 9, 2020.

He is survived by his loving fiancée Ashley Fowler; three children: Esme Tharp, Eliza Perez and Easton Perez; father, Mark Alan Tharp; two brothers: Mark Angus Tharp and Nathan Alan Tharp; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Roxan Tharp (Nee James); grandparents: Charles (Barbara) Tharp and Travis (Sharon) James.

Funeral Services will be held at Bocken Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Best, officiating, but sadly, due to recent events, is private for immediate family. You may witness and be with the family virtually via livestream which will be posted on our website on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. A celebration  of Ryan’s life for all his friends  will be announced at a later date.

Ryan was raised in Calumet Township; he was self-employed as a home remodeler. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing and fishing. Many described Ryan as a loving, genuine family man. His children meant the world to him and he was active in all of their extracurricular activities .
