Susan L. Murphy, age 67, of Hammond, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
She is survived by three sisters: Annette and  Janet Murphy and Anna (Scott) Mackiewicz;  nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Michelle, Bobby, Nicole and Tyler; great nieces and nephews: Alec, Cameron, Calli, Isaiah and  Caleb; numerous cousins; very best friends, Dawn (Tony) Berg and many more dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Murphy; brother James Edward Murphy.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Bob Nueman officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.  

Sue was a lifetime resident of Hammond, and a graduate of Morton High School class of 1974. She was recently retired from Roseland Hospital as a medical coder clerk after working over 34 years. She was a long-time faithful member of Life Point Church. Sue had taught children in Sunday School at Woodmar Church of God and Hessville Assembly of God for many years. She also enjoyed going to estate sales and doing many different crafts but most of all spending time with her friends in the Seniors group at Life Point Church.
