Tomislav (Tony) Samardzich, age 70 passed away and entered into the gates of heaven with his loving family by his side.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria of almost forty-five years, daughters Jovana and Eva (Jesus), grandsons Julian and Lucas; brothers: Miro (Mary Grace), Milovan (Gloria), and Radomir (Iliana): several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bozidar and Delia Samardzich.
Tony was born in Peru, South America, but was a long-time resident of Northwest Indiana until his retirement. He was a Journeymen pipefitter/ welder for over thirty-five years. Tony dedicated his life to serving Christ and was a faithful member of Hessville Assembly of God where he served as the Sunday school director, teacher, deacon, and school board member.
Tony loved to spend time with family and friends, play and watch tennis, read about history, and work in his woodshop. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will dearly be missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Life Point Church, 7350 Kennedy Ave, Hammond, IN 46323. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with service following at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Boy's and Girl's Missionary Challenge C/O Life Point Church would be appreciated.
