Arthur L. Willison, age 90, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, September 19, 2016.
He is survived by his two children: Betsy (Ken) DeVries and Ken (Deb) Willison;
Four grandchildren: James (Chrissy) Desler, Joan (Jared) Tyler, Krysta (Kevin) Beedon, Kaitlyn (fiancée Brian Donovan) Willison; nine great grandchildren: Lily, Violet, Ivy Desler, Zoe, Julian, Jacob Tyler, Matthew, Bryanna and Lincoln Willison-Beedon;
Unofficial adopted daughter, Irene (Charlie) Fassom; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Gladys Lucille Willison; parents, Lloyd and Virginia Willison; sister Betty Willison.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 22 , 2016 at 11:00 a.m. directly at the First Christian Church of Hessville, 6733 Alabama Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Dan Nichols minister officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation at the church on Thursday, morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Private burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
Bud was born on March 23, 1926 in Hammond and was a life long resident. He served in the S.W. Pacific during WWII in the Navy. Bud worked at Inland Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1982 as an Electrical Foreman.
He was a longtime faithful member of the First Christian Church of Hessville where he served as a Church Trustee and held offices in his Sunday School Class and the Men’s Fellowship.
